The U14A’s played Stamford at home on Saturday the 13th of January. We started the game with a very strong quarter and worked well as a team getting the ball down the court and keeping possession with some strong shooting from Amelie and Alice. Going into the second half we were feeling confident with how we played and, allowing a few more goals for Stamford we kept ahead with some great rebounds from Anna. By the second half we were all starting to feel tired and started making a few mistakes allowing Stamford to get close with only a four goal lead to us. The final quarter was crucial and we needed to stay calm on the ball and work together as a team which we did amazingly. We were all putting 100% into the last quarter to get the first match of the season as a win 21-16. Particular congratulations to Alice for player of the match.
