Match Report
Oundle School Girls-U14A vs  Bromsgrove School
On: Saturday, 05 Feb 2022
Venue: Away

On Saturday, the U14A played in a netball tournament at Bromsgrove school. We played extremely well despite the bitter winds and the small amount of rain.

The first match, in our group, was against Repton. Although Repton has a reputation for being extremely good at sport, we managed to beat them, 5-3. This boosted our confidence as we had also only just got off the bus and went straight into playing after a few minutes.

The second match, was against Malvern where we merrily won the match 6-1, boosting our confidence as far as we could with the wind picking up. But the wind wasn’t going to stop us from playing our best and so we went ahead to the third match.

Our third match was against Redmaid’s, and although we found this tougher in the beginning, we yet again won, 6-1. Now that we had been up against Redmaid’s, we felt we could adapt for the rest of the matches to have a better chance of winning.

In our last match within our group, we played Bromsgrove, our host. This match went as well as could be expected, as we were tiring going against the wind and after three other matches previous. But we still managed to win against them, 8-6. We were overjoyed getting through to the semi-finals, and as we regained our energy, we had a quick team talk on some more strategies.

Finally, we played our last match against Bablake, sadly losing 8-6, but we were still very proud of ourselves for getting so far.
