Match Report
Oundle School Girls-U13A vs  Kimbolton School
On: Monday, 18 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

As we walked out to pitch 4, we were confident in securing a win having trained well for the previous two weeks. As the whistle blew to start the match, we were instantly under pressure from a strong Kimbolton side and as a result conceded an early goal through a well worked short corner. Both team’s fought hard and created a number of chances at each end, however Izzy Henderson was outstanding in between the posts to deny any further goals. Madeline Todd worked tirelessly up top to keep the defence on their toes, as well as Hannah Boyle constantly denying chances from the back.

Fresh from our water break and debrief with Mr Ellis, we were keen to assert ourselves upon the game. Almost instantly we created chances through several short corners which were unfortunately denied by the Kimbolton keeper, swell as well worked passages of play by Sophie Harrison and Tessa Glazebrook in the Midfield line. Oundle kept fighting and as a result manged to find the back of the net through Tilly Ashby. With the game not yet over Eva Morgan and Lakshmi Mizen were called in to action to deny any further Kimbolton efforts. As the final whistle blew, the score stood at 1-1 with both sides happy with the result. A special Mention must go to Sophie Hawkes who voted MVP by the other team.

We now look forward to our next game on Wednesday against KCS.
