Match Report
Oundle School Boys-U15A vs  Uppingham School
On: Saturday, 04 Nov 2017
Venue: Away

On Saturday the under 15 A's went to and beat Uppingham. The game was a particularly close one, and will be the new bench mark for the rest of the season. We went up on them early and soon were winning fifteen points to nil thanks to two well worked team tries and a stunning chip and chase by Archie Maxwell-Macdonald. They struck back, and at half time the score was 15-5 in our favour. After the break they really opened up and before we knew it, the score was 15-15. From this point on both teams traded tries until we managed to score two in quick succession, Freddie Spencer showing his pace. The game seemed within reach for us until their inside centre broke down the wing, looking set to score. Only the efforts of Archie Spurway could stop him, another turning point in the game. Three minutes later the final whistle blew, the final score, 32-22. This was easily our best performance as a team and has provided hope for the rest of the season.
