Match Report
Oundle School Boys-U13A vs  King's Cambridge
On: Wednesday, 13 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

Our first match of the season was an exciting one played in all weathers!

Kings won the toss and decided to kick off to start the match. William Chapman immediately took possession for Oundle with a great catch. As the match progressed Gussie Coulter did a wonderful run through the opposition’s defence off a perfect pass from Thomas Kemp. This meant we gained a lot of ground and the try line was in sight. Off this phase of play William Barnes scored our first try making the score 0 – 1.

The pace of the match continued and Oundle went on to score another six tries whilst Kings tried hard to catch up. Our tries were scored by Thomas Kemp, Rory Potter, Monty Drewitt and William Barnes. William Chapman carried out some very impressive contact play including a alot of very good rucking action. Jack Thompson showed his agile play with outstanding side step action.

Overall, there was some fantastic play and great teamwork from a team that was playing together for the first time.

A great way to start the season.

Impressive first match boys!

Final score: 4 – 7
